If I Were Strength…

If I Were Strength,
I’d wrap it up and put it in a vase and disguise it as flowers.
I’d give it to the 12-yr-old girl down the block
Who went to a party where she was raped for hours.
She is the girl who got murdered inside.
Her purity was so much invaded
She rather wished she was blind.
Because walking down the street every man reminded her of him.
Like an end of a movie,
She wished her memories would go dim.
Because that love felt empty
Not at all of what she thought it would be like
You know, the way they say it on T.V
And she guiltily admits that she wasn’t all that scared of him taking off her panties.
So, If I Were Strength,
I’d wrap it up and put it in a vase and disguise it as flowers
I’d give it to the 12-yr-old girl down the block
Who went to a party where she was raped for hours.
