Amusement

by: Jurate Leslie R.

you are my amusement.
mine.
i am the brother’s friend
who drove you home when you had too much to drink
and then forced mysef inside you.
i didn’t think you remembered.
i am the fraternity boy who gave you an asprin for your headache.
and made you give me something in return.
i had it coming.
i am the desperate loner with too much time
and a gun.
he got you hot and ready.
you tasted so good.
i keep the gun in my dresser drawer
wrapped in your unwashed underwear.
i am the neighbor, the baristo, the professor, the friend.
i am no man.
i am every man.
